Bluestem Studio, located in rural Wisconsin, is home to Mark Jacobson's incredible artistic vision, where he uses the unique method of Veneer Mosaics to create amazing works of art.

 

Mark Jacobson is a self taught artist from rural Wisconsin Dells, WI and has received national recognition for his unique art.  "I'm able to do things with the veneers that I could never do with paint," says Jacobson.  "The finished pieces have a look that is hard to describe as well as classify. Technically, I don't think they are mosaics, but its a word people can identify with, and the effects are similar."

 

Whatever you choose to call the work, the results are stunning. Mark says he loves to watch people who are seeing the art pieces for the first time.  "They just don't seem to have the words to describe what they're looking at.  I always consider this silence to be the ultimate compliment."
